Solved How To Enable Onboard Audio On a Lenovo Thinkpad

how to enable on board audio on a Lenovo Thinkpad – I have a friend who accidentally disabled her onboard audio (I think by adding other external speakers caused the computer to disable the audio) Anyway, I googled for help, and it said to enter Bios to enable them. I went into Bios and searched, but could not find the place to enable on board speakers. Any suggestions? Thanks,

      You normally only need go into BIOS to enable an add-on Audio card. Plugging speakers in should not cause this issue. I would forget BIOS. Try System Restore (type in Search). It won’t touch your own stuff.

      EDIT:
      Try unplugging the speakers first, maybe they have a problem. Also make sure volume is turned up and not muted.
