Hi,
I’m trying to use the web-cam to skype a friend but cannot locate it on the laptop. I have tried rebooting laptop, couldn’t do a system restore as there was no previous point to restore it to (its not a new laptop I just don’t have any points created). For some reason the driver has been deleted/is missing and when I download one from the Samsung support website and run installation it kind of says its installing and then nothing happens after that (the driver says for Win XP and I am running Win 7 so maybe that is why however there are no other drivers on the website). I then try to click set up but it says it cannot detect a web-cam.
Is there any way of disabling web-cams on Samsung r530? I can’t remember if I disabled it on this laptop or my previous one. Basically I have no clue how to fix this so any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
Oh and the web cam is not listed in device manager, or anywhere else that I can find really…
Check the privacy settings for the camera.
Navigate to Settings, select Privacy or Privacy & security, and then select Camera. Make sure that the app you are trying to use with your camera has permission to access the camera.
You can download the WEBcan and device drivers from the Samsung WEBsite. Please click on this link and select your model computer/notebook and theWindows drivers you require :-.http://www.samsung.com/us/support/
