Solved Can’t Paste From Other Programs Into Word 2010

I can copy and paste from other programs to other programs fine. I can copy and paste within the same word document fine. I can copy and paste between different word document fine. I can even copy and paste from word to other documents. But I can’t paste from other programs to word.

I copy a line of text from any program, say notepad, and when I go to word it is as if the clipboard is empty. When I paste (ctrl V) nothing happens. When I right click and select paste using the keep text only option (this is the only option available), nothing happens.

This is very very frustrating
