When I start the laptop it shows I9990305 and then a picture of a floppy being inserted. I need to fix this.

It has a Type and a Model on it
Type: e.g. 2645 or 2646
Model: xxx, e.g 1RR
2645-xxx or 2646-xxx
e.g.

On the right side of that page, type your Type and Model in the Quick path Enter a product number box. e.g. 2645-1RR , click on Go.
That yields you the home support page for your specific 600E Type and Model
Click on User’s guides and manuals
Try looking at the Hardware Maintenance Manual
or
the On-Line User’s Guide
or
the User’s Reference
The error code may be in there
