A couple days ago I received an email from Yahoo stating Yahoo is selling out to Verizon. Will I lose my Yahoo email? Will my email address and password have to be changed?

Does Yahoo have a customer service phone number? I did a search for a number and several came up, but on the Yahoo site, it states if a phone number is found in a search, it is not a Yahoo number. Is there another way to contact Yahoo?

Most numbers for yahoo - suport at least - are routed to a location in India. Yahoo transferred tech support to third party services. Those services offer a free call but any solutions they offer - cost... And they invariably offer to remote in to your computer and seem to use freely available utilities to scan the system; these utilities frequently free to download and use.

With the above in mind I'm not surprised that you can't contact yahoo directly to get answers...

Yahoo srvice etc. has been going downhill for an age. I'm not convinced that Verizon will help it any; but can see Verizon charging for anything yahoo once offered for free?

Theoretically your yahoo lohgon etc ought not to change; at least for a while... But as for long term???

Best switch to something with a future that looks more reliable.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

According to this previous discussion:

Verizon will soon be using AOL email. You may have to just wait and see what Yahoo/Verizon/AOL tells you.
