XpPro crash need reinstall

January 13, 2012 at 09:06:48
Specs: Windows XP Pro
I have a Win Xp Pro Computer that crashed and I need to reinstall the OS. Problem is I don't have my XP Pro disks. How can I reinstall without the original disks. Can I download a copy of XP Pro and not have to purchase another copy. Does anyone have a copy that can be emailed or file transfered to me?

I have several Dell Recovery disks but this is not a Dell computer. Dell have their own "special" disks though. It is an OS disk though. I was told previously this would not work. IS this correct?

"Crash" is a generic term & could mean just about anything. Explain what has happened & why you feel a re-install is the way to fix it. It could be something relatively simple or it might not be a software issue at all.

When starting up, it goes to a blue screen and says that it is missing system files. They are not .dll files though.
