My business program is a dos based program and has been running on my laptop for several years but suddenly has refused to boot and displaying an error message (error 05 occurerred in line 0 of module screen at address 9A7E=085D. I have tried all the compatibility settings but to no avail. My file system is NTSF on my laptop.I did try to run another dos program by running cmd and run it from the C:\ prompt and I am not sure if that had caused the trouble. I have copied the business program onto another computer that has a fat32 file system and it seems to work ok.I also have the program running on a memory stick and it runs ok but not on my laptop. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Johnw for your help.I have had a look at Crashrpt and read the docs.but even if I got an error report I would not know what I was looking at.I tried the program on another competer with XP and NTSF file sys. and it worked OK.I have come to the conclusion that the problem is my laptop so I am going to reinstall XP and see if that fixes the problem.Again thanks for your help.
