XP SP3 - Can't RDP nor ping a computer when booting in Windows Normal mode. When booting in safe mode I can RDP to the computer and ping it successfully. What's I've done:
Recreate profile
Add static IP
Reinstall NIC DriverAny suggestions would be appreciative
Another third-party driver (which doesn't get loaded in safe mode) is causing a conflict with your network driver. It isn't necessarily a device driver - - some third-party applications install virtual drivers which can just as easily cause a conflict. Such applications can be third-party firewalls, antivirus software, or CD/DVD burning software, also software for creating virtual CD drives.
If you can recall installing any of those just before the problem was first noticed, that will be the culprit, so uninstall it.
