I am using WD 500 GB hard disk.

Why do you think there should be a reserved 8MB space? There may be gaps like this between partitions on some hard disks or there may not be - it all depends upon the disk size and geometry.

If it works, don't worry about it.

@kuwese. It's one cylinder, not 8MB, and it is "unallocated" rather than "reserved". On most modern hard disks the geometry is such that 1 cylinder = 8 MB, but that isn't true for all hard disks.

It's unimportant (unless you want to later convert the basic disk to a dynamic one). There are ways to get round this, but it's such a small amount of storage that it's not worth worrying about.

For some reason I think the OP means this. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307654

Also SP2 needs to be updated as soon as possible.

Hang up and live.

The posts were regards TORRENTS, which should not be discussed here.....

OP should have SP3 and subsequent updates installed, to bring it up-to-date...

I only mentioned the word t------ts and i didn't show how to download or provide any link from t------ts. Also three Mods were involved plus Othehill and Razor didn't touch the word t------ts and there post was removed. They decided to edit my 2nd response i think they should edit the other 8 responses instead of deleting them.

I guess Jolicloud response #6 is going to be removed because he mentioned forbidden word.
