XP service pack 3 stuck in bootup loop

August 14, 2011 at 17:13:13
Specs: Windows XP, service pack 2
My computer has Windows XP with service pack 3. The computer was recently restarted and now loops through the process. It gets as far as the Windows loading screen, then restarts the cycle again.

If I enter into safe mode during the first cycle, I can get into any version of safe mode without problem. However, safe mode is the only way the computer will finish loading. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: It is indeed service pack 3. Accidentally put the wrong one in for OS info.

i guess You should keep pressing F8 when it boots up and then select "Disable automatic reastart on system failure".

This time it should give you a fair enough BLUE Screen of death (Well that's not fair actually ).
read the code and tell us what is says. no need to write down the complete messge, just mentioned the error message and code something like IRQ_LESS_OR_NOT_EQUAL (an example) and then a 4 part code at the end.

If you are lucky enough, it may give you name of the driver as well but not for sure.
