XP rebooting issue, several BSOD

September 24, 2012 at 13:03:32
Specs: Windows XP, AMD Athlon XP 2400+, 1.99GHz/736MB RAM
Problem started after computer was unplugged from wall outlet for 6 days. Computer keeps restarting and need to fix problems.
Computer System specs:
2003, Emachines T2482, AMD Athlon XP 2400+, 1.99 GHz, 736MB RAM, WinXP SP3, NTFS 114GB hard drive

After replugged into wall, computer began rebooting before WinXP screen started, at first it took only a few tries to get into Safe mode and reboot to full Windows. Then 15-20 tries. Now, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't stop rebooting at all. Once I got into windows, I turned off auto restart and finally got to see a few of the BSOD messages. But since I am trying to backup system files before complete failure occurs, I turned auto restart back on because before I could copy files, the BSOD would occur. I finally got it into Safe Mode and finished backing up files. (I do periodic backups so only had a few things to backup).

Also, when rebooting into Safe mode, sometimes it "freezes/stops" after the driver avgidshx.sys is loaded. I reinstalled AVG and thought everything was ok, but now not sure if I need to do a uninstall and full reinstall on AVG. A week or two after the AVG reinstall, I've received an error message on "avgdiagex.exe" after computer has completed booting windows - both in safe and full mode (The AVGIDSAgent services depends on driver which failed to start.).

Also, the following error messages in System Event Viewer logs -
"The following bootstart or system start drivers failed to load....
Also in log files, some COM+ errors.
Please let me know what I need to do to fix these problems.
