When Properties - Find Target is clicked, instead of opening the directory containing the file, XP opens the dialogue box "open with"

BarryB, It won't hurt to try this: Click Start>Run then copy & paste or type in:
regsvr32 /i shell32
Click OK
Note that the spacing is important.

Yes, the short cut(s) do exist and yes I did re-register the shell32. Same problem, windows opens the "Open With" dialogue box instead of opening the folder. BB

Ran the Folder Association Fix, rebooted and still have the same problem. Thanks for the link, there are some handy fixes listed.
