Been away on holiday and switched on laptop and got message switch to mains to save data as the battery is low although it did get an 8 hour charge every day whilst awa on hols. The green light shows for mains and battery but the laptop won't fire up. Any ideas.
Try to remove the battery, wait for 10 seconds, press the power on button, nothing happens and thats ok. Now insert the battery and try to switch on the laptop again. Some of the Toshiba laptops do have an odd problem with the batteries.
You may also try to pull off the battery and run is by only using the power supply. If the battery is corrupt, e.g. maybe a short circuit, the laptop woun't turn on. So try without battery only with power supply.
