wont boot- BIOS to black screen

Dell / Vostro 1500

Specs: Windows XP Home edition, DUAL CORE
This has happened now twice in the last few days. Both times my WIFI connection totally drops and nothing I do can fix it in Windows. So I do a restart to see if that resolves it. I get the Dell BIOS screen straight to a black screen. The cursor in the upper left flashes ever so briefly you almost miss it. Right to black... I used my xp cd to do get into the recovery console, a chkdsk says "no errors" but when I force it to do a full it say it found one or more problems and when I reboot it works, what could this be.

Last, this all started happening after I ran some custom made software to unlock the some features on my phone. I got a blue screen error twice, something about memory leak or memory issues. I power cycled and it came up fine but the about 10 minutes later I got the above error. Two days latter came up a second time.

This is my work PC and I cant be done, thank you for help in advance, it is really really appreciated!

You can try uninstalling the phone software and hope it fixes the problem.

But it seems that software may have replaced important system files.

Good luck
