wish to do a factory restore however no disk

April 23, 2011 at 07:53:41
Specs: Windows XP
I am usually good with computers but then I usually have the disk to help. If I hit F10 during start up that should work, however it has Microsoft Office 10 that we dont want to lose. So the question is how to save that and still take it down to factor settings.

Do you have the Office 10 disk? What brand is the computer?

If you purchased office 2010, all you really need is the key code they gave you.

I would back up the entire system to a second hd.
restore the computer....go into backup...locate the second hd and select the progams you want to restore. Note: If you only do a partial backup you stand to loose any documents you have made.

If you don't have the key. Do a search for key finders. Or look at

Factory restore on compaq's and HP's you tap the F11 key when you see the hp or compaq screen.
