wireless (wifi) problem connected

Specs: Windows XP
toshiba L310, intel wifi 5100 mine was connected confirm with signal excellent but it was'nt detect IP address local so it can't browse anything. please help me, hat i have to do to make it work normally?

Wireless Configuration for Wi-Fi.


* Click Start

* Click Control Panel

* Select Network and Internet Connections

* The Network and Internet Connections window will appear:
Select the Network Connections icon

* The Network Connections window will appear:
Double click on Local Area Connection

* The Local Area Connection window will appear:
Select the General tab and click, or highlight Internet Protocol and press Properties

* The TCP/IP Properties window will appear:

* Make sure that both the Obtain an IP Address Automatically and Obtain DNS Server Address Automatically are selected, or checked.

Does the router have a security key. Frequently I get customers complaining that WIFI does not work and find out they did not enter or incorrectly entered the key. Verify the settings you are entering when trying to connect. Another question is on the utility to connect with. Toshiba has a custom utility to control WIFI connections. Are you using that or the Windows WIFI manager?
