Hello
I have an HP Pavillion laptop for which no drivers were given when it was bought. Now windows had to be reinstalled and the problem is that I need to find the drivers in order to make the wireless antena work. To start with, the ethernet card is recognized in device managers section but no wireless antena seems to appear in the device manager section. I guess it might be fixed by installing the corresponding chipset/motherboard drivers for the wireless communications or even the drivers for the wirelss antena.
The thing is that I do not know where I could find this kind of drivers to make this wireless antena work.
I currently do not have the exact model of this HP Pavillion laptop but to begin with I only wanted to know where I should look for this driver.

Thanks

HP have a very good system on their website for getting the drivers - may be slightly different for each country, but HERE is the UK site, just put in the model number.

Without any model numbers you are not going to find anything. However, once you have the model number, HPs website is the place to start looking.

What you are looking for is the driver for an wireless interface card. You will get nowhere looking for a driver for a wireless antenna as a wireless antenna is just a piece of wire about one inch long soldered onto the wireless interface card.

It doesn't matter if you don't know the model number. If you follow the johnr link above, on that page there is a black button marked "start detection" to automaticallly detect product name/number. It will also give you links to driver download for your model

Thanks all.
It was helpful.
However, I have not seen that button labeled "start detection" yet in [link]http://welcome.hp.com/country/uk/en/support.html[\link]
