winlogon.exe error and C000021A system error

August 20, 2010 at 06:15:24
Specs: Windows XP
Currently trying to help my friend fix his computer. Whenever I get into the login screen if you wait a while the computer restarts and if you try to login the computer restarts also. The blue screen error I get when I disable automatic reboot is a C000021A fatal system error and the dr. watson visual notification says that winlogon.exe has generated errors and needs to restart. I don't believe its a msgina.dll problem because when I check the registry the GinaDLL REG_SZ value is not there. Anyone know any solutions on how to fix this? Thanks
