Windows xp x64 very slow bootup

Specs: Windows XP x64, t7600/ 4gb
Hello all. When i turn on the computer the screen doesn't go right away to the screen where windows xp is shown but rather a black screen with white bars on the bottom. When that finishes then it shows the windows xp bootup process.

What i don't understand is why the black screen with white bars on the bottom appears and why it takes so long b/c i just did a fresh reinstall of windows xp.

Check for any errors in Device Manager if it's a fresh installation.
One or two drivers may need updating even if no driver errors are shown.

Don't use the "update driver" button in Device Manager though.
Go straight to your computer maker's website & get the drivers there.
