Specs: Windows 7
Hey all,

I turned on the computer this morning, and it started looping. I have Windows XP. I have never had any problems with the computer. It goes to the HP invent scren, to te start windows normally screen, and continues to loop...never starting up. It won't even start in Safe Mode...none of them. I do not have a startup disk, or a reboot disk. Is there an easy solution?

"Is there an easy solution?"

Depends on how much you are capable of doing.

"I do not have a startup disk, or a reboot disk."

I am afraid you may have to ask friends and neighbors for one, Just remember home=home you cannot mix & match

Here is how to do a repair install:

Some HELP in posting on plus free progs and instructions Cheers

I had a problem a while back with an XP Pro 64 system doing that. About every 33 days. A few tried to tell me it was the fact that my copy of windows was pirated. WRONG!! Still have the receipt from newegg. I did call the activation number listed for MS just because after the fourth time it did this I was getting scared. There were no issues with my key code. One fella told me it was a virus. Never heard of a virus that waits until the 33rd day to strike but ok. Several told me it was memory relaited. After the sixth time it did this I reinstalled XP Media Center and all was great for four months. Then I set up a dual boot with the XP Pro on a second partition. Sure enough 33 days and every time I try to boot to it it just loops. It took some doing but newegg gave me a refund and an old boss gave me a copy of win 7 ultimate. When I contacted newegg they said they had gotten a few other complaints about this issue so I never truly have found out what was wrong.

I would do as XpUser4Real has suggested or reformat altogether.
