windows xp startup is slow

Specs: Windows XP
when my Windows Xp starts up, after the 'welcome' part, it takes more than 35 seconds to show me the desktop screen :(((

How much memory is installed, less than 1GB? If you have minimal memory plus a bunch of garbage-ware installed AND the garbage-ware is configured to load at startup, it will add to the time before the desktop screen is displayed.

Which anti-virus program are you running? Have you scanned for viruses & malware? Have you ever managed your startup apps? Do you regularly run a cleaner?

microsoft security essentials , i've scanned everything, no viruses no malware, i did the Msconfig also reduced the number of startup apps but no difference , it all happened when i installed Advanced System Care 6, when i used it, i noticed that the pc takes time to show me the desktop screen, so then i uninstalled it, but it still takes time to show me the desktop screen ..

Probably something Advanced System Care did. Best avoid that type of program, they often do more harm than good.

If you still have sufficient restore points then uninstall any magic computer fixing programs you have added and restore to a date before they were installed.
