invalid...Error Code is 80096019

This is caused normally because there is a scratch or the CD is dirty and the optics drive is not reading the CD properly.

This was an issue using some older CD's that just would not be read from a fast CD/DVD read. By slowing down the read on the CD or replacing it with a slower optics drive corrected this issue.

If the copy that you are using is scratched up pretty bad then you might try to borrow one from a friend.

One trick I have used before was to use the program alcohol 120% to make a clean copy of the CD. That burning program used to have a free fully functional trial period and the way it scans (back and forth) and verifies the writting then it cleans up badly scratched cd's

There may be other software that progressively scans as well, I just know that this one worked for me!
