Solved windows xp destructive recovery interrupted by power outage

Specs: Windows XP Home Edition
On my Advent T9204 XP Desktop PC, I have just carried out a full destructive recovery with recovery disc and whilst commencing the installation of Microsoft Windows (XP Home Edition) I had a power cut ... when the power came back the monitor was blank and I am unable to proceed. I don't know what to do.Please help me...

Start the recovery process again right from the beginning.

Hi Stuart,
Thank you for your kind response. I have already re-inserted the recovery disc in to the tower (several times) and it does not respond,therefore preventing me from going through the same recovery process again ...

Any other ideas ? ...perhaps there is someway of kick-starting it in to action? ... God knows ...

Check in the BIOS that CD/DVD drive is first in the boot order.

If you cannot boot from the recovery disk you need to start thinking of a new CD/DVD drive. To check if it is the drive, try booting from some other bootable CD.

Does anything at all show on the screen? If not the power outage may have damaged your system.

Hello All,
Thank you for all of your kind responses it seems that the power outage fried my system. I need a new mother board,however I have decided to buy a new desktop in keeping with my laptop ie Windows 7.
