I have Windows XP Pro installed in my P.C. My problem is that the Menu Buttons in my Registry Editor are being displayed in French . When I type Regedit, the resulting window that pops up has "Editeur de Registre" written on it . Further , The top line has " Fichier" "Edition" "Affichage" "Favoris" & "?" . Also , all the options that come when I click on any of this buttons , are displayed in French . HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT ,etc is written in English . However when I click & go further inside , the Menu Titles & entries ,etc are once again displayed in French . For example , "Nom" "Type" "Donnees" . It's a mixture of English & French . I CANNOT UNDERSTAND FRENCH CORRECTLY & WOULD LIKE TO RECTIFY & GET BACK EVERYTHING IN ENGLISH . HOW CAN i ?
P.S. : Just took a closer look in Windows Folder . There was a regedit.exe in the System32 Folder . Normally it should be in Windows Folder . Checked it's Properties & found out that the Language was French (Under the "Version" Tab ) . So downloaded a copy of regedit.exe from the following location : & put it into the Windows Folder . Deleted the regedit.exe (French) that was in the system32 Folder .
Now , everything in regedit is in English .
Nice one rahulkhajuria. now to find why it moved, probably an infection. Run these for starters, you may need to run more later.
