January 13, 2011 at 08:52:04
Specs: Windows Vista, 2.00 GB
I have a Dell inspiron MXC061 Every time I turn on my laptop it,s boots up okay then the message about the hard disc appears? I checked the available space I have and only half is used there should be plenty of space right? Why does this window keep appearing? I bought the laptop in 2008. The help place that tells me what kind of laptop I have says a I have a DuoCPU and 32bit OS also T2250@ 1.73GHz 1.73 GHz. Help is it crashing! Or can I do something to fix it? Thanks

You don't say what the message is. If it is low disk space, try reading this

Also, using something like Ccleaner regularly will help.

A thank you would be nice, if I have helped.

I just went back online, I will try both. The message says" Windows can not back up your files-a hard disc problem has been detected" "Please contact the manufacturer for further information" I will keep you posted

Type chkdsk /f in the run box (hit Enter key) for a quick HD check. It might be worth running chkdsk /r too but it takes a good while to run through.
