Specs: Windows XP
hi, nice to meet you all... im new here
hope someone can help me solve my problem...

my problem:
before format was like this,

Local Disk (C:) - 160GB (windowXP installed here)
Backup (D:) - 1000GB
Local Disk (E:) - 140GB

after I reformatted, it change to

Backup (C:) - 1000GB
Local Disk (D:) - 160GB (windowXP installed here)
Local Disk (E:) - 140GB

so, will this affected anything?
after several time use, when I start my PC, it shows this message

Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem.
Could not read from the selected boot disk.
Check boot path and disk hardware.
Please check the windows documentation about hardware disk configuration and your hardware reference manuals for additional information.

so I had to restart again....
this is really makes me hurt, I don't want my PC dead...
can anyone tell me what's wrong? really thanks alot

I think what you did was install the OS on D. The only thing needed was to partition and format.
