Win XP won't install on DFI P5BV3+ Rev:C+ motherboard

Specs: Windows XP, AMD K6-2 300/192
Dear Sirs,

I've tried to install Win XP on my DFI P5BV3+ rev:c motherboard with VIA Apollo 598MVP AGP chipset, but it stops during Win XP installation every time while trying to boot it up. The processor is AMD K6-2 300, there is 192 MB of RAM, and plenty of space on the hard disk. The bios is from 1999. Right now I have Win 98 installed on it, but I need Win XP because the programs I need to install won't run on Win 98. Please help me install Win XP on my P5BV3+ rev:c motherboard.
Thank you in advance.

I would not recommend this. 192 MB is no where near enough RAM to run XP efficiently. The specified minimum is 64 MB (never very realistic) but that was in 2001 when it was released. With modern software and coupled with a slow CPU you will have a very slow system.

To run XP with decent performance you need a minimum of 512 MB but 1 GB is recommended.

LMiller is right, but if you want to try it go to the maker's site and see if the board supports XP, and get the latest BIOS for the board.
