Specs: Windows Vista
one of the RAM-card went dead ?; replace it and re boot will solve the problem? it has 3 RAM-cards two  of them are 256 mb and the other128mb

"RAM-cards" generally don't go bad. They're either good from day one or bad from day one. It would help to post the make/model of your motherboard, make/model of CPU, & the RAM specs. And why are you still running SP2? SP3 was released almost 5 yrs ago.

Sorry, not sure if you are making statements or asking questions.

Reboot means restart (power off then on again). I wonder if you mean that or some sort of restore.

Have you tried cleaning the RAM edge connectors with a pencil eraser? That is not an uncommon reason for RAM apparently failing. I then ususally pop the sticks in and out a few times to ensure there is no oxide on the edge connectors.
