Will Vista run on my XP PC?

Specs: Windows XP
I have a system: Microsoft Windows xp, version 2002, with service pack 3. Computer AMD Sempron(tm) processor 2800+
1.61 Ghz, 2.0 GB of RAM

Or would it be better to just upgrade my RAM to 4 GB cuz thats how much my motherboard can support. I already checked that out. My question is. Is my computer gonna be able to handle windows vista in its current stance or should i be considering on buying a new motherboard with processor.

I have a Home Vista comp running on those specs, rarely use it, just have it for answering questions or for visitors, use my XP comp all the time.

From what I hear, Windows 7 is much, much better.

Sorry for my link, I misread your post and posted the link for Win7. I just worked on a machine today running Vista and it sucks. IMHO.
