Why Is XP PC Stuck with Windows Classic theme

Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600), 318MB RAM
I have been wondering why my theme is stuck on Windows Classic and can't go anywhere else. I have this cool theme called "Blue Nano" that used to make the taskbar have a black design (color) and the start menu with the cool design also. (You can search for it on Google). Well, ever since I had Windows Genuine Notifications with me, the themes have not been working. I can switch to a theme, but the taskbar remains the same. I have deleted WGN since then, but the theme is still stuck. How do I solve this?

If you only have 318MB RAM, you should be running as lean as possible, not adding more garbage. The more complex the theme, the more resources it will use. Same goes for wallpaper & screensavers. At 318MB, you have nothing to spare. I suggest you forget about "Blue Nano" & start trimming the fat. Start by turning off the Indexing Service & using MSCONFIG to disable unnecessary startup apps. If you're running Norton or McAfee, dump it & replace with Microsoft Security Essentials (it's free), AVG or AVAST. Go to Performance settings > Visual Options & untick ALL boxes on the list except the last 3. That's a start.

"You can search for it on Google"
or right click on my computer, and choose properties
