why is the size of my Win XP folder over 46GB

Specs: Windows XP Service Pack 3, 1.25Ghz/768Mb
My hard disk is 80Gb, My Windows space are 46.5Gb. i'am using windows xp professional version 2002 service pack 3. my hard disk doesn't has partition and so slow. please help me.

I'd reload the OS and all the applications over again. Be sure to save any data off before you start. Then get a good A/V, antimalware and antispyware program along with all the latest service packs.

If you have "Restore" enabled there is a possibility that restore points are accumulating and taking up space. I delete all but the last restore point once a week and this usually recovers six to seven gig.
