Specs: Windows XP, 2040ghz/256 ram
recently my pc running winblows xp started putting itself to sleep, its not suppose to, i never set it to do that, i looked at the power management settings and they havent been altered, they are set to never do this to me, yet it is doing it. when it happens, i cant get it to do anything, i cant wake it up, the mouse and keyboard both fail to respond and i have to turn the pc off and back on. the only thing i did before this stuff started happening to me is an update on spybot search and destroy, i emailed the makers of that program and they claim that s&d wouldnt cause this(but under the circumstances i have to be skeptical) what is doing this to me? how can i stop this? its annoying the crap outa me

Do a system restore to before you updated Spybot. That update shouldn't have affected it at all. Worse case scenario, go into power management and create a custom scheme and use that.

i tried to do a system restore point, each time i tried it said it cant do it, and when i looked at the power management settings i couldnt see where it would have anything about a custom scheme, im wondering if im going to have to reformat and reinstall the blasted operating system(winblows xp)
