Specs: Windows XP
seems like when Adobe upgraded to the 9's I've had comnputer crashes when I try to download pdf's. I removed the program and download and saved another version but still crashing. Should I just go back to a 6 or 5 version?

Get Foxit Reader, much faster and smaller than Adobe. No automatic updates, but you can check for the program updates using the help in the program. It is available here;

One point in using Foxit, if you receive prompts that you need Adobe to read the PDF, just ignore that and open the file and Foxit will do the rest..

Yes. Once Foxit is associated with .pdf files, uninstall Adobe Reader.

It's a good day when you learn something
