Yeah, deleting the marked messages sometimes seems to work:

Also may be caused by add-ons:

What email service or program are you using?

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Are you trying to send to multiple recipients at once? That is usually how spam is identified. Each provider has their own thresholds.

Derek, I am using good old fashioned Outlook Express.

Do the messages have attachments or pictures?

What happens if you try to send a short email to yourself with just text (single word for example)?

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Derek, no attachments or pictures, but I deleted the 5 messages including some test messages, from my Outbox, and just sent myself a test message and it went through. Now i am able to send messages. Go figure.

Another possible - for the future... Ensure that the date/time settings on the computer are current - not somewhere in the future... You cannot send (even connect) if the date/time is in the future...

Occasionally this scenario appears "on its own..."

Also on occasion if you have one message that won't go out, it can block others behind it in the queue.

Make sure ALL your Regional and Language Options settings are Ok. They will be something similar to this, the main point being, you should have at least 3 places to make sure you have your country displayed.
