Solved where is the location of the file Boot.ini in

Specs: Windows XP
I have tried searching drive c and hidden files and folders searches come up empty. I am trying to create a start up floppy for xp.

boot.ini is in the sytem drive which is usally drive C: but could be some other drive. Depends on how the system was set up.

You wont get very far with a single floppy to start XP. The Microsoft version of a floppy start up requires six floppy drives.

You might try opening notepad. Then File...Open.... just type in boot.ini

The most common location:

C:\Boot.ini

"...I have tried searching drive c and hidden files and folders...", but not system files?

Msconfig would have shown it right away in its own [Tab].
