I restored my computer from an image of the HDD. No problem there, but I wish to restore the task bar to a more recent time. I expect that the contents of the task bar are held in some kind of container. ie; folder, file or other. If I knew where they are I could merely cut & paste from the image to the current system drive C:.Does anybody know what container contains the taskbar icons? William Lockie
What task bar icons? Are you asking about the Quick Launch shortcuts, or something else? And if you restored from an image, how is copy something from that same image to your computer going to "update" anything? -Ryan Adams

Yeah, if you restored from an image there'd be no "more recent time" than that image to restore anything from. Skip
Yes I am talking about the Quick launch icons. I restored from an image I made in November. However I also have an image made in December and those quick launch icons are the ones I want. Yes, I could have restored the December image but I had reasons to restore the November image but want the December task bar. William Lockie
You can drag any program you want there. http://www.student.services.wiu.edu...

The Quick Launch links are all stored in: C:\Documents and Settings\[USERNAME]\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch Obviously, replace [USERNAME] with your user name.
