What to do before running eMachine recovery

October 27, 2010 at 14:23:41
Specs: Windows XP, Intel celeron 2.8GHz/ 752MB Ram
My parents have an emachines desktop and I made sure they kept the recovery CDs. So now that ive got all their files backed up on an external, I am trying to run recovery on the computer. However when I insert the CD and click to begin, the computer first restarts as it should but no menue pops up or anything to continue running the recovery. It has a little notice pop up right before it shuts down to restart saying "make sure you follow the instructions provided to ensure that recovery runs after restart". Problem is I have all the books that came with the computer aswell and they don't say anything about this?

Anybody know what i'm missing? I know its probably gunna be something stupid and little haha
