Me again. I downloaded Everest, which I put on any machine I come in contact with. I ran it and there were a couple instances of [Trial Version], that was in System Memory, Logon Domain, and a few more. What is that about? Thanks! Jann
No reason to pay for that kind of program. Everest MAY be OK again. For some time it was not updated so newer hardware was not IDed. Try SIW free version. Get it at the link below.
The version I dl'd was one from before they called it what it is now. I would NEVER pay for a program I can get for free, even a trial version. I have Everest on a CD somewhere, but I am so sick of looking at this computer, I could puke and don't want to look for it. And just as an aside here: WHO has over 8000 music files on their computer besides DJ's? Moving them from the Win7 lsptop to this machine is taking a bit.
Thanks, I will go download that program, just so I have it.

Trial version means they expect you to buy it eventually. Well, I have 4500 music files on mine so I guess I can't say. I have mine on optical disk and a second hard drive too. If your hard drive were to die what would you do?
Get an external hard drive and copy them over. Won't take as long as you think.
Were you referring to Aida32?
Yes, Aida32. I back up everything! EVERYTHING!! This guy didn't. When I asked him why, he said: Why? Nothing is going to happen. Well, a few random downloads of questionable sources and here we are. As for that Trial Version thing, I know what a trial version is. But this appears when I look at Everest and it is there on several things. Oh...........maybe that means that Everest won't tell me UNTIL I buy it because THIS is a trial version? Slap me now!
