what do olecnv32.dll mean when the screen is

Specs: Windows XP
i was at the point of deleting norton antivirus and the message came up and said. the image olecnv32.dll is possibly corrupt. the header checksum does not match the computed checksum. and now i have just a blue screen. can someone help.

That is what is called the Blue Screen of Death.
Happens when Windows goes crash, boom, bang.

For the future, always ensure that an AV is not running in the background when you try to uninstall it.
