Specs: Windows XP
I have a Lenovo IBM t41 laptop with a trashed hard drive. I am replacing the hard drive with a new one. I do not have the windows xp disk (all the software was on the bad hard drive in a seperate partition) I do have a windows xp resource disk from my main Dell computer. Can I use this to re-install the operating system on the ibm laptop?

The Dell XP reinstall disk worked for me on my T42. On the IBM site there are also a lot of downloads for the IBM (Lenovo) specific software and drivers.

If it is an os disk yes.

Use the dells coa numbers to install
Then use Microsoft key updater to change from dells key to the key on your computer...http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/02/11/easily-change-product-key-with-windows-product-key-update-tool-free-download/

You may need drivers...do a torrent search for driver packs.
