Specs: WINDOWS XP PRO Service Pack 2, 1 GB
I dont understand why no matter which USB port I use (4 in back 2 in front) I get the message that it says it would perform faster by using a 2.0 USB port........the device manager indicates that there is an "enhance host controller" - and the BIOS already indicates the USB is configured for high speed so why the message???? Thanks in advance for helping me figure this out.

If your BIOS appears to recognize USB as 'high speed', then you may just need to update your motherboard's driver and then Windows should be able to recognize it too. Go to mfg's website (computer mfg. if major brand, motherboard mfg. if not) usually under support>downloads>drivers and look for your model and version.
