Hey, I have a older version of Windows XP Home, before USB 2.0 was out. I installed all of the updates, but for some reason, it wont install any USB 2.0 drivers, unless I find them manually, and install it. I had a Asus CD that came with my mother board that had the drivers on it, but I can't find it. Is there anywhere I can download USB 2.0 drivers?
Thanks
Use SIW to find your MB model if needed. SIW

If your hardware is old, it might not support USB 2.0 UK MP's are thieving scumbags.
EU members are worse.
... service pack two would be a good start after a fresh xp install http://www.softwarepatch.com/window...

Actually SP3 would be better: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/pr...
And notice that I'm not using any redirecting to other sites ;)
... do'nt let sp3 hose your system .
........ notice that the link comes straight from Micky Soft :P

LOL :) That's a good one :)
Do note SP3 is 100% safe, but some larger organizations would prefer not to have such a large SP install happening automatically on possibly hundreds of computers at the same time (hence why MS implemented the block)
SP3 is preferred, and is what I would definitely update to, always
Sorry, I thought I said my mother board model. It's a Asus P5nd2 Sli Deluxe. On my other OS, I run USB 2.0 all the time. I also have Windows XP service pack three installed, but it's still missing the driver for USB 2.0. I think the later CD's of XP came with the drivers already built in the OS, so that might be why I need to do it manually? Does anyone know where I can find the drivers for my board?
There are no specific USB drivers available of required when using WinXP. That said, if you haven't installed the motherboard chip set drivers then that could be your problem.
Get all the drivers for your board at the link below. I suggest you get them all for any OS you run and burn them to disk.
Yes here's that direct link: http://support.asus.com/download/do... If you check under "Utilities", you will see the Chipset driver
Or here it is directly: http://dlcdnas.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mi...

Isn't that what I posted?"
Yep, but he also did it in Response Number 3.
Johnw Yes, but the OP was asking for USB 2.0 drivers so I would assume that is what they thought the link was for. There are no USB 2.0 drivers on at that link.
