uphclean.exe to fix NET broadcaster problem

May 1, 2009 at 20:12:35
Specs: xp, 250
sometimes when shutting down the pc , this message appears " NET broadcaster problem " .
I done some googling and found out the following.
1*. only happens on ATI graphic cards
2*. could be caused by a virus
3*. its dependent on NET framework.

My question is does the program uphclean.exe ,fix
that issue and make that message stay away ?

And does running the uphclean.exe have any side effects , like displaying errors after it had been run once ?

auto7890, a virus/worm/trojan is a definite possibility. I'd scan just to be sure.
Not familiar with uphclean.exe so dunno, maybe.
FWIW, Windows seems to have been plagued with shutdown problems of one sort or another since day 1. I use a standalone shutdown proggie (for convenience) called 'Slawdog' (said to work on all versions). Get it free @:
among other places. Works good and I drag/dropped the icon into my quick launch so it'd be handy for use.

The microsoft UPHclean program is a unique little utility. Although it is not or was not originally designed to perform that particular repair, I have found that it helps in clearing up a lot of different issues and have for years installed it regularly on mine and customers computers without any ill effects what so ever.

It has helped solve ram (memory) issues and freezes. The program once installed has very small resource usage and will continue to operate in the background... I highly recommend this program to be installed on all computers that have memory issues of any type.

Your issue as with what EdinTexas says is more than likely caused by a virus or malware problem. I would make sure that the computer was clean and then remove the .net framework from add/remove and then reinstall it through microsoft updates!

Change Is Good
