Specs: Windows XP, Intel core duo
Some how , the unicode format that was used in my computer , was replaced with ANSI . So all notepad files that have Arabic text were rendered in unreadable Latin letters . Even programs that use Arabic in it's interface , the language was changed into the same characters or question marks .
How can I undo these changes ?

You can look in 'regional and language options' in control panel and see if everything is correct there.

If that doesn't fix it you can try a system restore, choosing a date from before the problem started.

You might also run some virus and malware scans in case you got infected with something that scrambled those files.
