unable to view windows unless maximized

Specs: Windows XP
I have a corporate notebook with XP that I use in 2 locations. At home I use the notebook screen and a 22 inch monitor with a dock. At the office I use (2) 18 inch monitors on the same type of dock. After using it at home on the large screen, I come into the office and it apparently remembers window locations, and I cannot view certain windows unless I actually maximize the window from the taskbar. I can close the program and reopen and I have the same problem until the next time I use the larger monitor from home. Is anyone familiar with this issue, and know a way around it short of moving my windows to certain spots prior to shutting down while I am using the larger screen?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
