Unable to view fax

Specs: Windows XP
I receive and send fax, but I'm not able to view them. How can I fix that. The message I get is the following: system does not have default viewer for fax documents (.tif files)
Any help will be appreciated. Thank, Hector V.

HectorCaleb007, what're you using to open the files? Visit http://filext.com/ to determine 'what opens what' and tic the 'always use' box in the RIGHTCLICK dropdown menu'.

HectorCaleb007, if you right click your tif file click "open with", then "choose program" in the list of programs select "windows picture and fax viewer", make sure the "always use the selected program to open this kind of file" box is checked then click ok, you should then be able to double click any tif image to view it.

HectorCaleb007, You could use the small and free "imgeditor.zip" program at the link below to restore that file association to the default.Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. It's a great small program and here's the link. Just download it, unzip it and run the .exe to open it.
