Unable to uninstall acrobat reader

Specs: Windows XP
Acrobat doesn't read PDF. Have tried to uninstall it and reload but I get the following error....This batch package could not be opened. Verify that the batch package exists and that you can access it or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer batch package

You MAY have to either re-download Adobe Acrobat (non-corrupted) or update your Windows Installer to version 4.5:

On the other hand, if all you need is to read/print PDF files, you might consider using Foxit Pdf Reader instead -- much faster, smaller, etc.:

Yeah, go for Foxit. It does everything Adobe does in the way of reading pdf files and it's much less bloated. I've been using it for ages.

Thanks all that's what I did will now use foxit. Funny but the pdf file worked fine with internet explorer

As far As I can tell Foxit works fine. Opens up the pdf files that I couldn't open With Acrobat in firefox
