I'm trying to use an XP PC to map a drive (which is on a Windows 7 PC). It has worked before. Now, every time that I try, I get the following error:

"The mapped network drive could not be created because the following error has occurred: specified network name is no longer available"

What can I do to solve this? I can create a map on a different PC to that share and it works fine.

Are you running SEP by any chance?

Can you ping the destination computer? Have you checked the share and NTFS permissions on the shared folder?
