I want to burn dvd-r by copying the files on to the dvd-r drive and later to burn for viewing in d.v.d player. But when I tried to copy the filesI received an error message stating that system error. Now what I have to do for copying the files and later to burn the dvd-r.
Please advise me.

Well you won't be able to burn files to dvd using windows xp itself. Xp will only let you burn to CD-R

You will need a third party software to burn to dvd.

Your DVD drive should have come with a disk with included software to do the burning (or download from their site). You usually open the software window and browse for the files (sometimes dropping them in the window also works). If you plan to use the disk in a commercial DVD player, the disk will need to be 'closed' as a completed job for the player to use it, not left opened to add more to later.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
