Specs: WindowsXP, Pentium 4 512RAM
I recently re-loaded Windows XP on to my desktop computer and cannot now connect to internet using a Belkin usb adaptor, model F5D8053 v6. My router is D-Link dir615 connected via an ethernet cable to a Virginmedia modem. The desktop is in another room so I can't connect with a cable. all solutions very welcome

✔ Best Answer
Have you installed all the drivers for your hardware (mainboard, maybe the usb-stick a.s.o.)?

Did you get listed any wireless lan network, to connect to?
Have you configured the correct wireless network name (SSID), encryption type and encryption key for your WLAN?

Best way is, to read the chapter in the routers manual on howto configure WLAN part.

It also depends on how it was configured in the past.
Have you configured the router in the past or is there a default encryption key printed on a label at the bottom of the router?
